Gate 1:18 Peugeot 406 Coupe

Koncom 90-tych rokov mala francúzska automobilka Peugeot v ponuke aj kupé strednej triedy na báze populárneho modelu 406 - teda 406 Coupe. Elegantné vozidlo s karosériou navrhnutou u Pininfarinu malo motory 2,0 alebo 3,0 V6, neskôr pribudol aj turbodiesel HDi.

At the end of the 1990's, Peugeot, the French carmaker, also offered a mid-class coupe based on the popular 406 model - the 406 Coupe. The sleek vehicle with the body designed by Pininfarina had   2.0 I4 or 3.0 V6 engines, later also the turbo diesel HDi.

Kovový model tohto auta v mierke 1:18 vydala firma Gate v roku 1999. Gate bola jednou zo značiek koncernu Gateway Global, tou druhou bola UT Models a z nich neskôr vznikol AUTOart.

The diecast metal model of this car in 1:18 scale was released by Gate in 1999. Gate was one of the brands of Gateway Global, the other was UT Models and later thay became AUTOart.

Model je balený v papierovej krabici priskrutkovaný k podstavcu, vyzerá proporčne v poriadku, farba je ok, len na nárazníkoch má trochu iný odtieň. Medzery medzi otvárateľnými dielmi sú viac-menej rovnomerné. Všetky vonkajšie detaily sú na svojom mieste, aj keď ich vypracovanie je trochu jednoduchšie a na dverách chýbajú sklá.

The model is packed in a paper box, attached to the base with two screws, it proportionaly looks in order, the color is ok, only the bumpers have a little different shade. The gaps between the openable parts are more or less even. All the exterior details are in place, even though they are a bit simple and the glass in doors is missing.

Kolesá vyzerajú dobre, ich zavesenie však pôsobí chatrne, človek má strach, aby sa pri zaťažení neulomili...brzdám chýbajú strmene.

Wheels look good, but their suspension is fragile, I was afraid it will break if I put some pressure on it ... the brake calipers are missing.

Dvere majú dog-leg pánty, po ich otvorení vidno, že sa šetrilo farbou - kovové časti karosérie, ktoré zvonku nevidno, sú nastriekané len veľmi zbežne, takmer vôbec, to isté platí pre motorový priestor a batožinový priestor. Dvere sa tiež pohybujú veľmi ľahko a príliš dobre nedržia v žiadnej polohe.

The doors have dog-leg hinges, after opening, there is visible saving of paint - metal parts of the body, which are not visible from the outside, are only very briefly sprayed, almost not at all, the same applies to the engine and the luggage compartment. Doors also move very easily and do not hold well in any position.

Interiér je dosť detailný, celý čierny, jedinou výnimkou je nálepka s budíkmi, koberce alebo bezpečnostné pásy sa nekonajú.
V batožinovom priestore je tiež len čierny plast, jeho veko, podobne ako predná kapota, nedrží v otvorenej polohe.

The interior is quite detailed, all black, with the only exception being a sticker with tacho and speedometer, there are no carpets or safety belts.
The luggage compartment also is only black plastic, its lid, like the front hood, does not hold in the open position.

V motorovom priestore je priečne uložený vidlicový šesťvalec s výkonom 190 koní...teda jeho jednoduchý, ale celkom slušný model.

In the engine compartment, there is a transverse V6 engine with 190 hp ... well, its simple but quite decent model.

Podvozok je, samozrejme, čierny, okrem strieborného výfuku, detaily priemerné, predná časť pod motorom je zakrytovaná, vzadu vidno celkom dobre konštrukciu nápravy. Pruženie je funkčné.

The chassis is, of course, black except for the silver exhaust, the details are average, the front part under the engine is covered, the rear axle is pretty well represented. Suspension is functional.

Tento model je celkom dobrý, vzhľadom na to , že pochádza ešte z minulého storočia a už vtedy patril k tým lacnejším. Škoda mizerného zavesenia kolies, ostatné nedostatky vo vitríne nevidno...

This model is quite good, since it comes from the last century, and even then it was quite cheap. It's pity the suspension is so miserable, other deficiencies aren't visible in the showcase ...

Model bol v ponuke v štyroch farbách: žltá, červená, strieborná a modrá metalíza.

 The model was offered in four colors: yellow, red, silver and blue metallic.

Norev 1:18 Renault Modus

Niekedy okolo roku 2004 uviedla automobilka Renault na trh mini-MPV Modus postavené na základe Clia, výroba skončila v roku 2012.

Sometime around 2004, Renault introduced a Mini-MPV Modus based on Clio, the production ended in 2012.

Norev  asi v roku 2007 vydal model tohto auta vo farbe beige natural, čo je béžová metalíza. Model je priskrutkovaný dvomi skrutkami na plastovom podstavci v plastovej klietke a to celé je v krabici s priehľadnými oknami z jedného boku, zvrchu, spredu aj zozadu, z druhého boku balenia je pár slov o reálnom aute v štyroch jazykoch.

Around 2007 Norev released diecast model of this car in beige natural color, which is beige metallic. The model is screwed with two screws on a plastic base in a plastic cage and all this is in a box with transparent windows from one side, top, front and back, and with a few words about the real car in four languages ​​from the other side of the pack.

Zvonku model vyzerá pekne, dizajn je vecou osobného vkusu, mne sa celkom páči. Farba je bez chýb, vonkajšie detaily veľmi dobré, hlavne predné svetlá, ale aj kľučky, stierače, lišty, nápisy, nechýba ani anténa na streche či francúzske evidenčné čísla. Mriežky v prednej maske a pod nárazníkom takisto vyzerajú dobre, aj keď niesú priechodné.

It looks nice from the outside, the design is a matter of personal taste, I quite like it. The color is fault-free, the exterior details are very good, especially the front lights, but also the handles, wipers, inscriptions, or the roof antenna or French registration numbers. The grilles in the front mask and under the bumper also look good even though they are not see-through.

Päťlúčové disky kolies sú bez chyby, sú tam aj brzdové kotúčiky so strmeňmi.

The five-spoke wheels are without error, there are also little brake discs with the calipers.

Interiér je prístupný iba prednými dverami, zadné sa, žiaľ, otvoriť nedajú, farba interiéru je šedá a béžová, detailov je dostatok, chýba asi len koberec na podlahe.

The interior is accessible only by the front door, unfortunately, rear door can not be opened, the color of the interior is gray and beige, there is enough detail, probably only missing thing is a carpet on the floor.

V kufri tiež nieje koberec, ale je tam výklopné plató.

There is also no carpet in the trunk, but there is a hinged plate.

Pod kratučkou prednou kapotou, ktorá sa otvára stlačením tlačítka zospodu, vidno vcelku detailný motor  1,5 dCi s príslušenstvom a fakt veľa štítkov.

Under a small front hood that opens by pushing the button from the bottom, you can see quite detailed 1.5 dCi engine with accessories and really a lot of  labels.

Podvozok je v prednej časti zakrytovaný, vzadu celkom dobre vidno nápravu a rezervné koleso, inak je z čierneho plastu, okrem výfuku a jeho tepelného štítu v matnej striebornej farbe. Dobrý dojem trochu kazí lesklo chrómovaný koncový tlmič výfuku a jeho koncovka a otvory na uchytenie modelu na podstavec, ktoré sú v strede a prechádzajú priamo cez výfukové potrubie.

 The chassis is covered in the front, rear axle and spare wheel are quite well visible at the rear, otherwise it is made of black plastic except the exhaust and its heat shield in a matt silver color. A good impression is a bit weakened by a too shiny chrome finished exhaust muffler and its tip and holes for mounting the model on the base that are in the middle and pass directly through the exhaust pipe.

Toto je podľa mňa veľmi pekný model 'obyčajného' auta, až na pár detailov veľmi solídne spracovaný.

 This is, in my opinion, a very nice model of the 'ordinary' car, except of a few details quite well made.

AUTOart 1:18 2001 Saturn SC2

Nie, nejde o žiadne vesmírne teleso ani medziplanetárne vozidlo...Saturn bola asi 20 rokov jedna zo značiek amerického koncernu GM, určená pre US trh, takže u nás v EU je takmer úplne neznáma. Mala konkurovať malým a úsporným japonským autám, ale v období krízy okolo roku 2010 bola zrušená.

 No, it's not a space body or an interplanetary vehicle ... Saturn has been one of America's GM brand names for about 20 years, designed for the US market, so it's almost completely unknown to us in the EU. It had to compete with small and economical Japanese cars, but was abolished around 2010 in the times of economical crisis.


Tento model je kupé verzia S-série a AUTOart ju vydal ešte niekedy v začiatkoch, keď sa menil z UT Models a Gate na AUTOart - model nemá ma podvozku logo Aa, ale Gateway Global. Aj krabica je podobná modelom Gate.

This model is a coupe version of the S-series and AUTOart released it sometime in the beginning, when it changed from UT Models and Gate to AUTOart - the model does not have Aa logo on the chassis, but Gateway Global. Even the box is similar to the Gate model.

Model má otváracie dvere a prednú kapotu, zvláštnosťou je, že na pravej strane má jedny dvere a na vodičovej strane ešte navyše jedny malé dvere, či skôr dvierka, ktoré sa otvárajú dozadu po otvorení predných dverí. Vyzerá to celkom zaujímavo a ani veľmi nevadí, že dvere majú nerealistické dog - leg pánty. Kufor sa ale otvoriť nedá...škoda.

The model has an opening door and a front bonnet, the speciality is, that it has one door on the right side and additional small door on the driver's side, that opens when the front door is opened. It looks quite interesting and I don't not really mind that the door have unrealistic dog - leg hinges. The trunk, however, can not be opened ... a pity.

Zlícovanie dielov je dobré, lak je bezchybný, svetlá a smerovky sú veľmi dobré, hlavne zadné, predné by mohli mať väčšiu hĺbku. V prednom nárazníku je pekná priechodná mriežka, v zadnom zase 3D nápis Saturn. Zadné sklo má znázornené vyhrievanie.

The fitting of the parts is good, the paint is flawless, the lights are very good, especially in the back, the front lights could have a greater depth. In the front bumper there is a nice see-through grille, in the back is the 3D Saturn inscription. There are heating wires shown in the rear window.

Kolesá sú pekné, striebornej farby, pneumatiky majú aj popis na bokoch, sú to Firestony. V kolesách sú aj aké-také kotúče,  vpredu aj brzdové strmene. Model nieje odpružený.

Wheels are nice, in silver, tires have a description on the sides, they are Firestones. There are also kind of brake disc in the wheels, with calipers in the front. The model doesn't have working suspension.

Interiér je z tvrdého plastu, celý čierny, na podlahe je niečo ako tenký koberec, detaily sú veľmi slušné, prevodovka je manuálna...pásy niesú.

The interior is made of hard plastic, all black, on the floor is something like a thin carpet, the details are very decent, the gearbox is manual ... no seatbelts.


Keďže kufor nieje prístupný, pozrieme sa pod prednú kapotu, ktorá, ako býva dosť často zvykom u Aa (a Gate) modelov, nedrží v otvorenej polohe a treba ju niečím podoprieť. Nájdeme tam detailne zobrazený motor s príslušenstvom.

As the trunk is not accessible, we look under the front hood which, as is often the case with the Aa (and Gate) models, does not hold in the open position and should be underpinned by something. Here we find a detailed engine with accessories.

Podvozok je z čierneho matného plastu, motor s prevodovkou, výfuk a jeho tepelné štíty a časť nádrže sú strieborné, koncový tlmič je chrómovaný. Spracovanie detailov je veľmi dobré.

The chassis is made of black matt plastic, engine with gearbox, exhaust and its heat shields and part of the tank are silver, end muffler is chromed. Details are very good.

Zaujímavý a dosť nezvyklý model tzv. obyčajného auta - žiadne nudné Ferrari alebo Lambo - dosť detailne spracovaný, škoda len neotváracieho kufra.

An interesting and quite unusual model of the so-called plain car - no boring Ferrari or Lambo - enough detail, pity the trunk can't be opened.

Ricko 1:18 Lancia Delta HF Integrale

Lancia Delta prvej generácie, hlavne vo verzii HF Integrale, je dnes už legendou. Ako model v mierke 1:18 existuje od výrobcov SunStar, Kyosho a Ricko. Práve  Ricko  vydalo okolo roku 2003 tento model: 1993 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo2.

 The first generation of Lancia Delta, especially in the HF Integrale version, is now a legend. As an 1:18 scale model it was made by SunStar, Kyosho and Ricko. Ricko released around 2003 this model: 1993 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo2.

Model je balený v papierovej krabici s hornobočným oknom a pripevnený mierne šikmo na podstavci.

 The model is packed in a paper box with a top-and-side window and attached in slight angle to the base.

Zdá sa, že u Ricka sa len voľne inšpirovali predlohou, pretože model je tvarovo dosť nepresný, akoby bol trochu sploštený, má nižšie okná a podvozok hlavne vpredu príliš vysoko. Farba je v poriadku, zlícovanie celkom dobré, medzery medzi otvárateľnými dielmi vcelku rovnomerné. Model má otvárateľné všetky štyri dvere, prednú kapotu aj zadné veko, čo je pre mňa plus, aj keď predné dvere majú dog-leg pánty, pánty zadného veka sú dosť masívne a uhly otvorenia sú dosť malé.

 It seems that guys at Ricko's have been only loosely inspired by the real car, because the shape of the model is quite incorrect, as though it was a little flattened, it has too low windows and the front part of the chassis seems to be too high. The color is fine, the finishing good, the gaps between the openings quite all right. All four doors, the front bonnet and the rear lid can be opened, which is a plus for me, although the front doors have dog-leg hinges, the rear lid hinges are quite massive and the opening angles are quite small.

Vonkajšie detaily sú priemerné, svetlá majú pre lacnejšie modely typické bodky, resp krúžky v strede, vznikajúce pri odlievaní plastov, podobne aj predné smerovky a hmlovky alebo zadné osvetlenie EČ, zadné svetlá sú celkom fajn. Pekná je aj jemná mriežka v prednej maske a nárazníku, aj keď nieje priechodná, mriežky na prednej kapote sú vylisované a zvýraznené čiernou farbou. Na prednej maske je 3D logo Lancie, rovnako ako na zadnom veku, dosť detailné sú aj čierne plastové stierače, kľučky dverí alebo hrdlo nádrže.

Exterior details are average, the lights have dots in the center typical for the cheaper models, produced in casting process, also the front turn lights and fog lights or the rear license plate light have this, the rear lights are quite good. A fine grille in the front mask and bumper is also nice, even though it is not see-through, grilles on the front hood are pressed and highlighted in black. On the front mask is 3D Lancia  logo, as well as on the rear lid, also well detailed are black plastic wipers, door handles or tank lid.


Kolesá s 'hliníkovými' diskami vyzerajú dobre, zdajú sa mi však príliš úzke. Vpredu sú klasicky natáčacie, vzadu je to najjednoduchšie riešenie - oceľová oska s nastoknutými kolesami, ktoré sa točia spolu. Brzdy tu niesú žiadne, aj keď miesta by bolo dosť, ale zvonku to kvôli nepriehľadným diskom aj tak nevidno...

 Wheels with 'aluminum' discs look good, but they seem too narrow. The front ones are steerable as usual, in the back is the easiest solution - a steel axle with wheels that roll together. There are no brakes here, although the space would be enough, but it is not visible from the outside anyway due to the design of the wheels...

 

 Interiér je celkom podarený, dosť detailný, celý čierny s kobercom na podlahe, anatomickými sedadlami, volant je možno trochu väčší, vpredu niesú pásy - vzadu áno, aj keď len ako súčasť operadiel,  otvárajú sa všetky štyri, resp. päť dverí - u SunStar verzie len predné.

 The interior is quite good, detailed enough, all black with a carpet on the floor, anatomic seats, the steering wheel is maybe a bit bigger, no belts in the front - there are belts in the back, although only as a part of the backrests, all four doors can be opened and the fifth too - in SunStar version only front doors open.

 Kufor je tiež celý čierny, je tam nastojato uložená rezerva a výklopné plató s výrezom pre ňu, žiadny koberec. Pánty piatych dverí sú veľmi masívne a natreté hrubou vrstvou nejakého mazadla.

 The trunk is also all black, there is an upright situated spare wheel and a folding plate with a cut for it, no carpet. The hinges of the fifth door are very massive and coated with some lubricant.

Pod prednou kapotou je vcelku detailný čierny výlisok motora s červeným krytom hlavy a striebornou priečnou vzperou.

Under the front hood is a quite detailed black casting of the engine with a red cylinder head cover and a silver cross strut.

 Podvozok je tiež dosť detailný, celý čierny, len koncový tlmič výfuku s koncovkou je strieborný.

 The chassis is also quite detailed, all black, only the tailpipe exhaust silencer is silver.

Škoda, že tvar tejto Lancie je taký divný a nepresný, inak by to bol celkom fajn model. SunStar verzia tiež nieje žiadna veľká výhra, takže ostáva len Kyosho, aj keď neviem, o koľko je lepšie, ešte som ho nemal v ruke...

It's a pity that the shape of this Lancia is so weird and inaccurate, otherwise it would be a pretty good model. The SunStar version is also no big win, so Kyosho remains, although I do not know if it is  much better, I haven't had it yet...

Minichamps 1:18 BMW Z1

Koncom 90-tych rokov minulého storočia BMW uviedlo na trh dvojmiestny roadster Z1, ktorý vynikal zaujímavým dizajnom a niektorými nevšednými technickými riešeniami ako plastové panely karosérie alebo dole do prahov zasúvacie dvere, vyrábal sa však asi len tri roky a vzniklo okolo 8000 kusov.

In the late 1990s, BMW introduced a two-seater roadster Z1 , which had an interesting design and some unusual technical solutions such as plastic body panels or vertically sliding doors, but it was produced for only three years and around 8000 pieces was produced.

Minichamps stvárnil tento model vo viacerých farbách, môj exemplár je v zelenej metalíze so svetložltým interiérom.

Minichamps made this model in several colors, my specimen is in green metallic with light yellow interior.

 Model je zabalený v polystyrénovom obale a ešte je aj zospodu pripevnený štyrmi skrutkami, Je to dealerská edícia, takže vonkajší papierový obal je matne čierny, bez obrázkov či výrazných nápisov, len s nenápadným BMW logom.

 The model is wrapped in a polystyrene package and is also mounted on the bottom by four screws. It is a dealer's edition, so the outer box is matt black, with no pictures or distinctive inscriptions, just with the little BMW logo.

Model samotný vyzerá veľmi dobre, farba je bezchybná, medzery medzi otvárateľnými dielmi malé a rovnomerné, svetlá vpredu i vzadu celkom realistické, škoda len, že mriežky vpredu nie sú priechodné. Kolesá so siedmimi lúčmi a znakom v strede sú fajn, brzdové kotúče a strmene celkom ujdú. Strecha k modelu nieje.

 The model itself looks very good, the color is flawless, the gaps between the openings are small and even, the lights on the front and the rear are quite realistic, but the grills in front kidneys are not see-through. The seven-spoked wheels are fine, brake discs and calipers are ok too. There is no roof though.

Najväčšou zaujímavosťou sú pravdaže dvere, ktoré sa otvárajú zasunutím do prahov, niekedy to ide ťažšie, ale funguje to a vyzerá to veľmi dobre...a nezvyčajne.

 The biggest attractions are the doors that open by sliding down, sometimes it goes a bit hard, but it works and it looks very good ... and unusual.

V interiéri sú sedadlá, bočné panely, rám čelného skla a stredová konzola v svetložltej farbe, zvyšok je čierny, len zadná strana sedadiel je vo farbe karosérie. Podlaha a priestor za sedadlami sú potiahnuté jemným čiernym kobercom. Detaily sú nadpriemerné, takmer všetky tlačítka majú popis, ale aj páčky pod volantom alebo rýchlostná páka sú označené symbolmi a schémou radenia, bezpečnostné pásy tiež vypadajú celkom dobre.

 Inside, the seats, side panels, the windscreen frame and the center console are light-yellow, the rest is black, only the back of the seats is in body color. The floor and the space behind the seats are covered with a soft black carpet. The details are above average, almost all buttons have a description, but also the levers under the steering wheel or the gear lever are marked with symbols and the scheme of the shift, the seat belts also look quite good.

Batožinový priestor je vystlaný rovnakým kobercom ako interiér, na vnútornej strane veka je tiež pár pekných detailov.

The trunk is lined with the same carpet as the interior, and on the inside of the lid there are also a few nice details.

Predná kapota so závesmi s dvojitou kinematikou sa otvára dopredu a je pod ňou detailne spracovaný radový 6-valec s bohatým príslušenstvom, kabelážou a krásnou poistkovou skrinkou.

 The front hood opens forward on a hinges with double kinematic and under it is a detailed in-line 6-cylinder with plenty of  accessories, cabling and a very nice fusebox.

 Podvozok je z väčšej časti zakrytovaný, ale je vidieť výfuk, časť prevodovky a zavesenie kolies a hlavne zadnú nápravu, spracovanie je veľmi dobré. Model nie je odpružený.

 The chassis is largely covered, but the exhaust, gearbox and wheel suspension and especially rear axle are visible, detail is very good. The suspension is not workable.

Myslím, že tento model sa Minichampsom fakt podaril, nemá žiadnu výraznú slabinu, z každého uhla pohľadu vyzerá dobre a detaily sú nadpriemerné.

 I think that Minichamps guys did pretty good job here, the model has no significant weakness, looks good from every angle and the details are above average.
